Earlier this week,
rumors ran rampant about Sheamus wanting to have a shot at "The
Streak." Now it appears the WWE has other plans for "The Dead
Man."
WZ has learned this afternoon that as of now, there
are three possible WrestleMania 29 opponents for The Undertaker—The Rock, Brock
Lesnar and John Cena.
Additionally,
we have been told the decision as to who The Undertaker works with is being
left up to him. While WrestleMania 29 is still nine months away, it seems
whichever two names are left out of the fold after a decision is made with The
Undertaker, those two guys would likely work with each other at WrestleMania.
For
example, if The Undertaker decides he wants to work with John Cena, it would
likely mean The Rock takes on Brock Lesnar.
Overall, it appears
that the WWE higher-ups are planning on making yet another memorable
WrestleMania. I am hopeful that that his opponent will be either Lesnar or Cena
simply because we just witnessed the "End of an Era" match, and I
feel Rock vs. 'Taker would fall under that kind of gimmick.
Not to mention, how
do you have The Rock lose to 'Taker at 'Mania?
Especially considering
The Rock has continually mentioned that he is gunning for the WWE title, which
to me would mean a title match involving The Rock could happen at either
Survivor Series or, more importantly, WrestleMania. In that case, it would make
more sense for The Rock to come into WrestleMania as champ and have a Rock-Cena
II or Rock-Lesnar II.
