Dark Knight Rises Premiere Pics

The premieres for one of the year's most highly anticipated movies - Christopher Nolan'sThe Dark Knight Rises - have begun, meaning we're gearing up for an onslaught of pictures of Marion Cotillard and Anne Hathaway in gorgeous outfits.

To kick us off we have two pale gowns fresh from the New York premiere:

Marion is in an ivory above-the-knee Dior Couture dress with a ruffled skirt and strappy Louboutin shoes (which is making us think a little of Mila Kunis actually)

Anne opted for a floor length white Prabal Gurung gown with a plunging neckline and a surprise peplum detail (we say "surprise" simply because it feels a little jarring and we don't think we like it).

Johnny Depp To Star In Wes Anderson’s Next Film ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’

EXCLUSIVE: Johnny Depp will star in The Grand Budapest Hotel, the next film that Wes Anderson wrote and will direct. 

Anderson is going right back into business with his collaborators on Moonrise Kingdom, which is heading toward a $40 million gross to be among this summer’s art house hits.

 The Grand Budapest Hotel will be produced by Anderson along with Scott Rudin and Indian Paintbrush’s Steven Rales. UTA reps Depp and Anderson.

This comes as Depp continues to work on The Lone Ranger for Disney. He stars in that Gore Verbinski-directed film with Armie Hammer, and response was strong to scenes unveiled during Disney’s panel at Comic-Con over the weekend. Depp will likely make this next; plans for him to star in The Thin Man for Rob Marshall have been pushed for the time being.

Farewell ‘Twilight’, hello ‘Host’

The twilight of the "Twilight" saga at Comic-Con fell with all the movies' big stars, series creator Stephenie Meyer, and a special treat for fans, who were shown the first seven minutes of "Breaking Dawn: Part 2," the pic series' final installment. 

The film picks up at the moment that protag Bella first experiences her powers as a vampire, a transition that includes Kristen Stewart, with her new crimson eyes, zooming through the woods with vamp husband Edward Cullen as her guide, tackling a mountain lion and snuffing it in a single bite.

Summit-Lionsgate crammed 28 of the "Twilight" films' cast members onstage, gathering bit players (mostly members of rival vampire covens) behind the seats where Stewart, Rob Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Meyer were parked.

Asked by an audience member whether there would ever be more "Twilight" books, Meyer said she's "a little bit burned out on vampires. The answer has been the same as it has for awhile. I like this new idea."

After the panel concluded, Meyer came back out to show a long reel from that new idea: "The Host," her next film. This creation stars Saoirse Ronan as, get this, a young woman with supernatural powers caught up in a conflict involving her kind, who are distinguishable by their off-color eyes.

The reel played a lot like "Hannah," a previous Ronan film and dystopian action drama, although this being Meyer, romance plays a significant part.

"The Twilight Saga" brought a new breed of fandom to Comic-Con four years ago, when hardcores camped out for days ahead of a Hall H presentation. Wednesday's event marked the last time they'd be gathered at the Con for the foreseeable future, as "Part 2" brings the existing pic series to a close.

The final panel opened with an acknowledgement of the 53-year-old "Twilight" fan who, while camping in line with friends, was struck by a car and killed on Tuesday as she was crossing the street in front of the San Diego Convention Center.

"It was really with tremendous shock that we heard about the death of fan Giselle," Comic-Con's David Glanzer said. "This weekend is a celebration of popular art and culture, so please, take care of yourselves, keep a watch over your friends and have a great time."

Taylor Swift New Brunette Look

Just when we think we know her, Taylor Swift goes and throws us a curveball: the singer is now brunette!

Well, almost -- it's a dirty blonde-meets-brown, if we're getting technical. But the darker 'do (which we believe is a dye job, but could be a wig...) is a new look for Tay, who's become as known for her sparkling blonde locks as she is for her sparkling dresses. Swift unveiled her dark hair in the latest Cover Girl campaign, entitled "See You, Be You."

For the shoot, T-Swift wore lots of black and white and donned a floppy black hat that, combined with her straight hair and blunt bangs, reminded us of her fantastic Vogue spread earlier this year.

It was that Vogue editorial, in part, that inspired Swift to get more adventurous with her look. "I was so excited to be shooting the cover of Vogue that I let them cut bangs for me at the shoot," she recently told Refinery29. "It turned out to be one of my favorite changes I've ever made to my hair. Moral of the story: Always trust Vogue."

Indeed. Brunette is an even bolder change than bangs, we think, but a good one. As much as she claims to "experiment as much as I can with fashion and makeup looks," Swift has been fairly loyal to her blonde hair-red lip-black eyeliner combo for some time. So it's nice to see the young star switch things up...

As long as it doesn't involve using Sharpies as eye makeup. That just sounds dangerous.
